'T Nieuwe Diep in Flevopark is a small distillery which brews over a hundred different kinds of genevers, liquors and vodka’s. The distillery is situated in a nice old renovated building and has a large ‘proeflokaal’ and a terrace where you can try every kind of home-brewn alcohol that is produced at ‘t Nieuwe Diep. It takes a while to get here (best option is to go by bike or by taking tram 14) but it is so lovely to sit on the sunny terrace in spring or in summer that I think it is absolutely worth the effort. Since it is going to be very sunny this week, I felt that I had to share this hidden treasure with you :-) Last time I was here I had a home-made blueberry genever, which was really really good. If you don’t like genever or wodka don’t worry: you can also order a good cup of coffee, a beer or a biological juice (and still enjoy the sun!)
